Fairbanks, Alaska.
Alaska is one of the most pet friendly friendly states. In interior Alaska, trails go beyond any dream. If you are going into a mom and pop store, many will allow you to bring your dog, regardless of the breed, just make sure to ask first. Many people who live in Fairbanks,Alaska live in a dry cabin. A dry cabin is living without indoor plumbing. People choose this lifestyle while living in Alaska for the simplicity. Another benefit living in a dry cabin outside of town is the front porch views of the aurora borealis, otherwise known as the lights (Northern Lights). Living in a dry cabin means that people haul their water, use an outhouse and use laundry facilities to shower and clean their clothes. Some people go to the gym to shower. Dry cabins can either have wooden stoves or TOYO heaters to keep the fur babies nice and cozy. Dog Mushing gear is also a must for sled and non sledding dogs to keep the paws warm. Be advised that wild life roam free in Alaska. Make sure if you encounter wildlife to use precaution and protect your 4 legged child to prevent any harm.
